That resignation letter is from a former employee of Whole Foods, in Toronto (TTC = Toronto Transit Commission).
When i first read it over my reaction was that this is someone with a bad attitude and work ethic (comments like "Respect your employees and the precious time that they are giving up to work for you."). When I read it a second time, I had the same opinion. The only person "owned" by that letter, is the writer's last English teacher.

I saw a lot of exposure for this whiney rant on internet "news" sites, basically saying that it's making the rounds on all the social networking sites. I hope that means people are thinking "Wow, look how pathetic this person is," and forwarding it on so their friends will concur. Unfortunately, I'm much more inclined to think that most people are reading it thinking "Wow, I really agree. My time is precious, and I should never be written up for being habitually 20 minutes late. Because while my job is important enough to write a 2000 word "resignation letter" for, it's not nearly important enough to actually do what I'm paid to do." Then forwarding it on to their fellow entitlement junkies.

I said 'owned' because it got a shitload of hits, and might give people second thoughts about working there.
People seem to have the perception that a "cool, trendy" company (like Whole Foods or Trader Joes) must be better to work for than a "square, conservative" company (like Kroger or Wal-Mart). That isn't always true. |

I think both Whole Foods and Trader Joe's suck, but Trader Joe's takes the loss by a nose. |

I like Trader Joes because the store itself is very small, and they have decent prices on certain things (walnuts, almonds, frozen veggies, random shit like that).......But Whole Foods is a ripoff IMO.

My last Trader Joe's experience was trying to buy a loaf of white bread. Bought the most "normal" (not organic or any of that other BS) and it still tasted like shit. I guess for the type of thing you are talking about they can't screw it up but I wouldn't trust anything that requires "processing".
