ev1 hates theives, but gone in 60 seconds was a sweet movie.

as far as keys in the ignition, two words=bait car.

id like to go back to the 40's n 50's where doors were left unlocked, keys in cars, hot rodding was coming of age, etc etc-but then id have to sit in the back of resturants(if they even let me inside), not date white girls, etc etc lol

Someone must have been trying to score political points by saying this law would help the city "save money" investigating thefts that could have been prevented if people hadn't left their keys in it.

Sometimes I'll have the dog with me. Truck stays running with the A/C on. If I am going to be more than a few minutes, I can lock the doors with my spare key.

This is what we do for our older vehicles. Our truck we lock and start it with the key fob.

When I was in Europe, you got a fat ticket for leaving your car unlocked, keys in it or no. They felt that it invited "joy riding" by teenagers which could be dangerous for both the joy riders and the public at large. I agree to an extent, but I also think that everyone should be required to have trigger locks on their guns when not on their person.

The difference is, if a dollar is on the street, you don't have any way of tracking down the owner. Not to mention the person isn't going to come looking for it anyway.

Heh........funny thing, with my Ford I made the mistake of leaving it running and taking the remote with me.......When I came back and pressed unlock, it wouldn't let me in. One of Ford's "security features".
