Yeah, that 3.7 in the Wrangler sucks nuts.
They should throw the 3.0L diesel in there, that would really be a machine! Trying to figure out which is the better deal for myself now. Buy a new half ton, get better financing and all the perks of "new", or save $5-8k and buy a 5 year old 3/4 ton diesel with miles on it. I don't necessarily "need" the diesel, but they get better mileage, and I would then have the ability to pull anything I ever wanted... |

I hv yet to roll the v-6 jeep yet. but drove plenty of I-6's. Yes they are bullet proof but they are also a slug. No real power band or nuttin. They slug arnd and make lots of noise.
I myself think jeeps suck. The only way I'd ever own one would be with a 4-6" lift, chevy small block and ford 9" rear ends. |

I paid $2.89 for gas here last week and I filled up at the Strawberry festival for $2.65.

Speaking of the Liberty...so far so good after 3 months BUT I agree with you and I liked my 4.0 I-6 in my 99 Cherokee 4x4 better than this 3.7 v6. I paid $2.51 this morning on the way in to the office for 87 octane. |

Gas prices are dropping here as well. From what I have seen oil prices are currently being driven by demand rather than supply. The price per barrel rose on market speculation that America was in an economic recovery that would result in increased demand. Now that idea is quickly going out the window prices are following suit.

Gas went down a little bit to 2.65 a couple of weeks ago but today it's back up to 2.75 for 87 octane.
