All of my cars and motorcycles are paid for. I like it that way and I'm keeping it that way. Nothing in the affordable range that's out on the market now appeals to me anyway.

I've been thinking about trading in my JGC for an Avalanche. Doesn't fall into the clunker gimmick...but I'm in need of a truck more than a SUV at this point.

The Avalanche is a great truck, very versatile but they are also very thirsty. I loved mine but and SUV fit our needs better.

Here's the problem. When you don't buy American, then all the parts plant in Mexico shut down and also all the local repair shops go out of business because people start buying cheap, efficient, and dependable Japanese cars/trucks that don't break down.
