Whale Wars, anybody watch - Page 17

What they should do is what is boring if they are going to sail out there. It would make boring TV, but they should just get behind the factory ship and sit there. Don't launch the helicopter and delta to paint the research sign, don't put pete on the whaler to go back to Japan. Just sit there and block the whale ramp. Whaling doesn't happen, no one is endangered. It would make crappy TV though because they would just putt around the southern ocean following the factory ship.

That and concentrate on making what the Japanese are doing actually illegal. Lobby the Japanese government, back candidates that are anti-whaling, win the hearts and minds of the Japanese people.

Yeah, no chance on changing the japanese. No chance in hell. Another group tried to go over to japan and talk to people there about dolphins or some kind of fish or something. They got run off and almost killed.

Well isn't that the same treatment we'd dish out if some foreign group tried to stop us from eating beef? Hunting deer? What if a bunch of Hindus came over here and went to beef farms throwing bottles of red paint and sabotaging meat processing equipment? How long would that last?

I didn't say anything bad about killing whales. I don't want them to stop. I love this show.

I wonder how difficult it is for the Japanese to refrain from mis-using their grenade tipped, rocket launched harpoons? I'd like the show better if they started using the harpoons against hippies.

The last 3 episodes were great. I may have even got the wife into it... she was reluctant but may have enjoyed it.
