i got popped at 100mph when going cross country, it was $300. all part of the game IMO. it was in AZ and it wasn't worth trying to fight it across state lines.
It wasnt even a case of finding different friends, those guys werent doing those speeds either esp since the owner of the bike I was riding was out front. I have chosen to not ride with a lot of people because I didnt wan tto be pulled over left and right.

I cant stand cops, I think 90% are assholes. Its 180$ here for not wearing your seatbelt. I never wear my seatbelt, I hate it. Shouldnt that be my choice?

The highways here are desolate. Should someone be charged for 15 over when theres not a car in front or behind for miles, because a cop was waiting behind a pillar, jerking off with a jelly donut?

Some things dont make sense. We should be charged for endangering others, not ourselves.

But if you endanger yourself it makes more paperwork for them to do and they dont like that either

Just saying, this isnt a city, far from it, but the last couple of years, cops have been stricter than ever with driving laws. I can count the cars that pass my house in an hour on one hand, so who cares if im doing 120mph on it?

Especially when theres dirty old drug dealers trading coke for sex with 14-16 year old girls, and NOTHING is done about it, and they should be worried about speeders?

I probably should have left it on while reaching for my glove box too just to make sure he saw.

Maybe I should have asked him to unbuckle it for me?

I once got pulled over in front of a bunch of hoods standing on the corner. I knew from living around there that they dealt crack, yet the cop is hassling me for a 7 mph over ticket. I was like wtf! He asked me the standard, "what's your hurry?" and I honestly responded, "I wanted to get away from those crack dealers asap..", He looked at me for a second, looked at those guys and let me go! True story!!!

Maybe it should or maybe it shouldn't. But it's still the law. If you get a ticket for it, then it's nobody's fault but your own. You can hate the law all you want, but when you get a ticket, you can't be pissed at the cop for doing their job.

Once again, the speed limit is there for a reason. If you break it and get aa ticket for it, then it's your fault. Nobody else's. It's the cops jobs to enforce the set laws. It's not up to you or me to decide when and where we can speed.

If you don't (meaning anyone, not just you Apoc) like the laws, do something about it. Write your Senator, join various groups that support local laws or fight local laws. There are things we can do. Bitching and moaning on an internet forum doesn't do anything productive.

Sure it does, it helps an otherwise boring day at work go by a little faster

You're right. And I think we forget that police dont make the laws. They enforce them. Don't like the laws? Vote for someone who will change them.
