I wish. You will love this, had one girl who had been here for a while, took it upon herself to look on my computer as to when she would be called, then gives me attitude. Then she signs out AMA and asks for a work note. I told her if I didnt just exam her nether regions I woudl say she had a set of balls on her.

And people wonder why doctors/nurses/medical techs are so often cynical, impatient bastards...
It's because of all the hypochondriacs, drug-seekers, and other misc. time wasters.
Would you even want to hazard a guess at what percentage of the time you actually get to help really sick people?

usualy not a lot. Problem is most nights I am stuck in the fast track area so most of the people arent realy sick. the challenge here is to sift through all the nonsense to find the ones that are actualy sick. I have had a few good calls and or saves over here so at least those make it worthwhile. You can get a little jaded, its almos tlike how a cop can become since they are mostly dealing with bad people at work. every now and then i take a step back to reassess things just so I don tmiss that needle in the haystack since the end result could be very bad.

its def appreciated, funy thing is a smuch as I may complain this stuff is kinda fun, esp compared to working in an office or something like that. Plus being in a dysfunctional environment like thias and being able to get stuff done is a challenge.

We have a few but they seem to bring it on themselves. there are also one or 2 that are called assasins by the other docs

When I work with the doc I am working with tonight we usualy seem to get a lot of weired male problems ( my penis fell off etc... LOL) he is a great doc and a good guy to hang with, it just seems that whenever we work together we get soem strange cases.

Nothing yet so far tonight though.
