around here Gander doesn't even have shelving for handgun ammo. they get it in on Wed at it's gone by that afternoon.

I picked up an XDs a couple weeks ago. was looking at the Glock G27 as an alternative but I love my Springfield XD 40.

I also picked up a 45 long colt derringer a few months ago.

I seem to be having better luck finding 45 and sometimes 40 ammo easier than other calibers.

scope mount ????

I have a fixed carry handle ( A2 ) AR-15. Are those top mount scope mounts any good?

I see these at gun shows mounted on A2 style all the time

But mainly for red dot.

If you want a true SCOPE (4x or better) I'd opt for a A3 upper. You can find them all day for right at $100

Mounting a SCOPE that high will effect your accuracy

My AR is a DCM model Bushmaster that shoots great and I really don't want to mess with it.

I purchased that exact mount and a set of low quick detach mounts last night.

If it doesn't work as well as it should, then I'll look into a A3 upper.

Thanks
