It's a 3D mouse for manipulating objects in CAD. As you move it around, the object on the screen rotates/pans/zooms. Bitchin' little tool. Works in Google Earth, too.

I think people have grown up and come to the conclusion that wear gear, don't wear gear, it's your skin you make the decision. But for me it's never anything less than gloves, armored jacket, and helmet. I wont try to convince anyone that it is safer, but I will explain why I feel gear is necessary.

Lon, I can say this, I've never seen you in any less gear than what I wear, so while some people might call you a squid... in truth, I think you wear more gear than you let on just to stir the pot.

If your argument is that jeans offer more protection than shorts because they may protect you for the first inch of your 40 foot slide then yea, you're probably right. My point was that they don't offer enough protection (specifically the kind your girlfriend would wear) to make a difference and she might as well wear the shorts.

Would I think she was a moron if I saw her riding with a tank top and shorts? Of course! But do I support her right to do so? Absolutely.
It's a joke! Everyone that knows me knows that I don't even use the word "squid"! A buddy of mine just pulled up next to me on my way to get her and he was wearing shorts, a tank top and a brain bucket. I didn't judge him, I said "what's up" and moved along. I honestly don't care what other people do with their lives. Besides, now you are saying that she's a "moron" for wearing a tank top and shorts. Do you believe that every woman on this forum that rides wearing jeans is a moron because it sounds like you do! Hear that girls? Kaneman says you are all "morons" for wearing your "girly" jeans riding!!!

All of a sudden, my life seems grossly incomplete without it. I don't even use CAD, but it's shiny, and I want it.

Nah I understand that YOU think that the tires, brakes, etc are "phenomenal" but I'm comparing it back to back against a GSXR1000 and they don't stack up.

That's awesome. I need to get one. I use Google Earth a lot for work to create custom map displays.

My injuries were caused from the slide. My jeans came apart as soon as I hit the pavement. I do not believe the rash would've been worse had I been wearing shorts.

And yes, I am a rollersquid, no doubt. I don't even own a rollerblade helmet.

What is a "troof"?
That's a good looking dog. Great Dane?

The last "public" ride I organized had a guy on a GSXR1000 show up. I was on my KLR with the same knobbies you see on my WR.

I was leading . . . the GSXR was right behind me . . . let's see how that one turned out . . .

I hate to be the one to bring it up . . . but it ain't the bike

Shhhh.... dang it Ed! So I almost always wear gear but I do actually wear jeans when I ride, I just include my handy, dandy Icon leg armor or my Dainese under armor when I think the pace is going to be more intense! I have a pair of ballistic pants and I hate them. I've worn then twice and they flap in the fucking breeze so much that it irritates me! I got them with my Alpinestars ballistic jacket that I also hate!
