Default Texas Vacation Ideas

So all you in Texas, where should I go and what should I do over Memorial Day weekend? I want to travel around the state and visit some places, but not sure where.

I am thinking Austin and the Stockyards in Ft. Worth. Any other suggestions?

Just the weekend? If you try to fit in everything in the state, you'll spend the whole weekend driving.

Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels is awesome. If you want to do some riding, hill country (southwest of Austin) is the place to go.

If you come to Austin, I'll show you around.

Only place in Texas I have interest in seeing is Big Bend, but it's probably hot as shit out there already. That's more of a winter vacation.

How is Austin weather the same as Big Bend????? How is walking around Austin the same as riding hard through Big Bend?

Seems to me that Big Bend is already over 100....

If you go to Fort Worth, go see Four Day Weekend. They're an improv comedy troupe in downtown. They are teh funny.

Things like this didn't present a problem for an officer. Officers had a tried and
tested way of solving problems like this. It was called a sergeant.

Yeah. I am only "free" Friday to Monday.

I don't need to see the entire state, just a few places. I've been here 6 months and haven't gotten to see much. I've got a month left (hopefully) before I go back to Ohio.

I can tell I've been away too long... when I read "if you want to do some riding", I immediately thought of horseback riding, not motorcycle.

The heat doesn't bother me here. At least it's not humid like home.

Riding out there, it's pretty isolated and tough. I wouldn't want to add extreme heat into the mix. There are a lot of groups that do middle of winter rides/rallies out that way.

I don't think I'll be riding out here any time soon.
