The bike could have been crashed and pieced back together in those 8 or 9 years, and it wouldn't show on the VIN report, because the VIN report only shows history post-registration. It was probably a demo bike to get those miles on it, would not be titled till it sold. And it's possible it was wrecked in that period, fixed by the dealership without an insurance claim and not reported, but that's not too likely unless an employee wrecked it maybe. The nice thing is, it's still under warrenty
