I am fortunate that I can choose either way. My Hayabusa is running the Turbo out through a full Micron System . it is very quiet and doesn't announce itself. My Goldwing is running stock pipes and Whispers along with amazing speed and grace for what it is. My flamed out Victory is my cartoon bike with a loud roaring drag pipe and the B King has the most obnoxious but delightful sounding Two Brothers Slip on's that make the bike that much more fun. If I am going to be on a bike for more than an couple hours at a time I want it on the quiet side. The other thing I have notice is that I can ride even my loud ones quietly if need be.

No plans on changing the stock exhaust on the CBR.
I had the same system on my GSXR. Loud as hell.

I like louder than stock but not obnoxious. There's a guy who's always at the bar around the corner from my house. He'll leave at all hours of the night an fire up his damn Harley. That thing is so fucking loud. I wanna throw rocks at him when he goes by the house. You can hear him for miles after he's gone. Dick.

i like a nice tone, my racebike is just a 4-1 open megaphone. sounds good n scary, but i couldnt ride it like that on the street anymore like i used to. gets annoying quick. the gsxr is ok, alil quieter at idle would be cool tho. sounds cool in tunnels

loud just for the sake of being loud like some of the vtwin guys, and even some of the 4bangers are what really annoys me. thats just as bad as a civic with coffee can muffler lol

I actually just quieted mine down. Took the muffler off, installed all new clamps and sealed the joints with silicon. It's almost as loud, but much less noisy.

If Buell starts selling the factory race pipe again I plan on installing one as it's quieter than my Drummer SS.

You got any pics of yours? I've got the original Drummer. I'd like to see the SS on your rig.
