Congrats. I checked out the Iron Butts website. Can't imagine some of those rides. Coast to Coast in 50 hours? 10 one thousand mile days in a row? 48 states in a week?

I don't know that I'd want to do the long trips in a short time, but some day, after my daughter is grown and I have the time to take off, I'd like to do a slow tour of the 49 states and parts of Canada. I'd start in the north, maybe do a cross-Canadian tour during the summer, hit up Alaska, head down toward Washington, go back east across the northern states, then slowly criss-cross my way through the US, getting further and further south as the summer winds down. End the trip in Florida, buy a house and call it a good life. Or maybe I'd end on the other side of the US in Vegas. Either way, I'd stop and live someplace warm in the winter. |

Just found all the paper work from my last IBA ride. I took a guy from work on 7-7-07 for a little ride. At the 1100 mile marker he stopped and got a room down in Knoxville, after 18 hrs of riding. And that's ok "ride your own ride". I headed north and made it to Kettering Ohio. 1638 miles in 30 hrs. Pulled into mom & dads at 3:08 am sunday. I'll put in for a 1000 saddle sore and a 1500 bun burner.
