Congrats. I checked out the Iron Butts website. Can't imagine some of those rides. Coast to Coast in 50 hours? 10 one thousand mile days in a row? 48 states in a week?

I don't know that I'd want to do the long trips in a short time, but some day, after my daughter is grown and I have the time to take off, I'd like to do a slow tour of the 49 states and parts of Canada. I'd start in the north, maybe do a cross-Canadian tour during the summer, hit up Alaska, head down toward Washington, go back east across the northern states, then slowly criss-cross my way through the US, getting further and further south as the summer winds down. End the trip in Florida, buy a house and call it a good life. Or maybe I'd end on the other side of the US in Vegas. Either way, I'd stop and live someplace warm in the winter.

Just found all the paper work from my last IBA ride. I took a guy from work on 7-7-07 for a little ride. At the 1100 mile marker he stopped and got a room down in Knoxville, after 18 hrs of riding. And that's ok "ride your own ride". I headed north and made it to Kettering Ohio. 1638 miles in 30 hrs. Pulled into mom & dads at 3:08 am sunday. I'll put in for a 1000 saddle sore and a 1500 bun burner.
