What exactly are you using it for? Someone told me you can use it on skype if you have a bluetooth headset...

You can pair any Bluetooth headset with a Bluetooth enabled computed and use the headset as a mic through the computer. If you have a headset you can use it with Skype, video games, or anything else that requires a microphone.

Assuming the dongles above work it should allow that.

Says A2DP, that usually means stereo.

how do you do this?

I have a bluetooth usb adapter. I have my phone set up so it can connect to my computer but when I have the computer do a search for other devices (with the bluetooth headset on) it does not find it. I even pushed the button while it was looking for other devices. nothing.

this is the information in properties on the usb adapter. Broadcom Bluetooth 2.0 EDR USB Dongle

You have to put the head set in "pairing" mode. Normally you have to start with the headset off. Hold the talk button until the light stays on solid or blinks rapidly or whatever is called for. Do a device search on your computer and type in four 0s (typically). Mine works. It's sweet with Skype because it's $3 a month unlimited!
BTW I sent some music files back and forth but I no longer have stereo bluetooth headphones so I don't know if it's stereo capable or not.
