Default Just got back from a 110 mile ride

The weather finally was nice enough ( no ice on the roads ) so I took out the ZR1100 for a ride. It was 42* when I left at 9 am.

I wandered over to Rt 212 and took that to Rt 611 at the river between PA & NJ. That's just south of Reigelsville,PA. Went north on Rt 611 above Easton to Martins Creek and then to Riverton,PA across the bridge to Belvedere NJ to drop off a couple of brake pistons for one of my friends who has "a few" triples. 54.8 miles one way from my house.

On the way over, I saw exactly six cycles ( ok 4 cycles and two scooters but at least the scooter riders were wearing proper gear unlike mr goldwing who waved with his coffecup in his hand ). I guess the cool weather along the river made the fair weather riders stay home.

I came back the same way and only saw about 15 cycles even though the temps had climbed to upper 60s.

I have to wash the cycle now as it's covered in grime but it was well worth it.

Got the KZ out for a proper ride yesterday, too. Tad cool, but after being holed up in the cage all winter, it was nirvana.

Local drag strip had a bike day today, then we went and ripped up some back roads. We are headed over the mountains into Tennessee tomorrow!!!

Sleds are fun too. One of the guys on corvette forum lives around Oswego NY and said if you get off the trail, the sled just sinks down in the snow

IIRC, that area got over 240" of snow this year.

I went to college at SUNY Oswego so I know the area very well.

He's right: if you get off the trail, you'd better know how to carve powder.
