The local version of the 'Gap (much smaller) is the Illion Gorge. I have found Lee's strategy (just let 'em go and then ride) works best. Only problem is that I have to wait a lot

28 Between Highlands and Bryson is one of my favorite roads. Cars even get out of the way for you there, even when I was just cruising!.

About three weeks ago some punk in an 600rr flew past me and Doug as we were sitting waiting for a car break. So....: naturally we chased him and caught up. Doug and I tried to pass (the guy was actually moving pretty good), but he kept running wide and cars were coming the opposite direction. Then on this decreasing radius turn we call a carousel which is about 1/16 mile, I saw the dude was getting closer and closer to the outside. At the end of the carousel you need to flip a bitch to the right hard or you end up going straight into the mountain. Said 600rr did just that. We felt kinda bad for riding his ass and pushing him...but the dude was a punk. He was ok...600rr was really messed up.

I went up 28 a month ago for a camping trip and if I recall the last posted speed limit was 55mph. Which if you maintained 55mph on that road you'd die.
