The KLRs are going for cheap here. Was thinking about it as a commuter bike, but after reading this little thread I think not.

People love them as commuter bikes, I put this one on the highway and went for a long ride, not its intended purpose, although the new grips did make a world of difference

yeah it sucks Honda quit making the Trans Alp. I've thought about buying a Tenere if I can ever get to USAFE (United States Air Forces Europe... the major command there)
