Meh. If you're a one-horse town in the middle of god-forsaken nowhere, you take the industry that comes along or you die anyway. I sincerely doubt anyone but oil men and roughnecks are lining up to live in Almont, ND.
Boom/bust economies seem to work alright in west Texas. It's not exactly stable, but we've got cities and everything...
