The Husky 610 isn't as race oriented as the 510 but it's still a high maintenance engine. The KTM 690 is a big different. It's all depending on which one you get, the SMC or SMR. The SMR is a lot more race oriented. As far as the KTM 690 being more street oriented, that's called the 690 Duke.
If maintenance is an issue then the DRZ400SM is the way to go. Or if going balls to the wall is the whole idea behind a supermoto then cross off the Husky, the Hussy, the KTM, the Suzuki, the Ducati, the BMW, the Honda and sign on the line for the Aprilia SXV. If you want a true race pedigree motard with blinkers & lights, then the SXV is it. The SXV4.5 has zowy oomph. The SXV5.5 has shit-in-your-pants oomph.
