Although according to wikipedia it was revealed in the credits as an elaborite joke that Shumaker is the stig, so who really knows

I see it more of a "changing of the guard" than ruined. But I always DID want to know who the hell was actually under that whiteness.

I don't see how it ruins anything - just means someone else is going to be STIG.

Simpson makes top notch gear - Their styles don't change much, why mess with something that is working? They upgrade the technology and keep the same look.

actually there are at least 7 different known stigs, here are 3 distinct Stigs that are most definately not Schumaker
