dv9207us from 2007 - I think I have the only example still running. (tis a crappy design)
8510p - Never a problem on XP or Windows 7 with the docking station.
8540w - No problems even with the stupid work image (still stuck on windows xp)

You say there's a video connection in there, too (and USB for mouse and keyboard)? All kinds of opportunity for the OS to freak out when connections get changed. I used to have a macbook that would crash about half the time I disconnected my external display.

well ok, but thats gotta be a pretty wack os. this machine is ruuning xp, which may be outdated but i dont think has many issues
