Watson Challenge on Jeopardy
Anybody else watch the past 2 days? They just finished game 1 of 2 today. So far, not so close.
Its been interesting to watch. Suppose I'll make the first obligatory SkyNet comment... |

I forgot all about that. I saw a documentary on it on PBS last week. I'll have to try and catch the rest of the shows this week.

I had forgotten all about it. When I saw it mentioned on the news this morning, the first thing I said was *Didn't we learn anything from Terminator 2?*.

The technology aspect of "Watson" is truly remarkable. Just in the medical field, the possibilities of sorting through large amounts of information quickly can be a big help to someone who needs a specialized treatment.
However, as far as an entertaining TV show, it sucks donkey balls. ( I really enjoy Jeopardy, too ). |

Read some where that while watson was able to answer questions better and faster than us humans, it needs to be restarted, have its memory cleared, and basically rescued.
