Maybe I'll just have to tell him a little bit before so he can do his check flight. Damn, Dave. I'm glad I started this thread. There are so many things I don't know about! |

It will depend on the FBO. The one I was using had a 5 hour minimum if you wanted to take a plane for the weekend. Best to call and ask.

tie it to a decent club though and it becomes a great investment. I seriously considered picking up a pa-140 in lieu of my house for a bit. of course not living with my folks won out in the end

Just be sure to do the small aircraft checklist first.
1. Are you a celebrity? 2. Are you part of a band or in any way connected with the music industry? 3. Are you a political figure? Oh.. and 4. Are you Mike Nellis? (hehe...sorry Mike ) If you answer 'no' to all of the above, you should be just fine.

john denver was flying a rutan EZ he just bought. and neglected to get gas knowing that the fuel selector had been relocated behind his shoulder and could only be operated blindly by a screwdriver aailiya bitched her pilot into overloading his plane with a shitload of luggage all three of these people did immensely stupid things and (considering the risks they took) deserved what they got. at least denver had the good sense not to take anyone with him
