Why? He earned it. I don't see the logic in saying that he should refuse it because they don't need it.

He's got the ability. He's got a good GPA. Why shouldn't he take a stab at making his own way in the world, instead of riding daddy's coat tails?

He put in the work, he should be able to get the rewards... now if the Diddy's are feeling uneasy about it and they want to do something charitable, how about a scholarship fund that would mirror what lil' Diddy is getting for free... Truth is, this is a win for the school... getting the kid in there will guarantee a bunch of money flooding in down the road with him being an alumn...

Agreed. Plenty of other wealthy kids have gotten free rides to college and nobody ever complained.

The people who complain probably think hip-hop is not a legitimate way to make money. I doubt they would complain if he was a doctor or CEO. Hypocrites.

Some were saying its a publicity grab. UCLA is going to have aprety weak program and USC is going ot be playing for a national title this year. I had heard soem say there wer emuch better corners available in state, and soem thought its odd that they sign a kid from a NY prep school, whis isnt exactly a hotbed for football talent, as opposed to a local/california player who may be better.

Im sure Puffy has some connections who could help get his son a scholarship and even though he doesnt need the money it guarantees him a spot on the team.
