Default What would you do scenario time.

Thanks to Tommy's sad ass thread, my brain kicked in and came up with a scenario.

READ THIS FIRST BUT DON'T ANSWER YET!

You are married and have a 4 year old child. You are at the hospital because your spouse is dying and needs a new heart. You are a perfect match and can donate. Would you donate?

For now just reply back with a YES or NO. Nothing else please. After a few replies I'll throw in the twist cause I'm sure some will miss it.

Just YES or NO.

No

Transplants aren't guaranteed and leaving your child in a what if situation wouldn't be good. It would suck to watch your spouse die, but the child needs a parent that isn't in doubt instead of risking everything.

What Trip said is pretty f'n obvious, so it's not like he revealed any big secrets.

no... but that's not the point. the point was to play along... and to be honest many would just say yes because they would do anything for their spouse.

the other thing is, heart transplants are nice and all but they don't last...

Quote:
In carefully selected people, a heart transplant can be very successful.

About 81% of all people who receive heart transplants survive for at least 1 year. About 75% survive 3 years, and 68% survive 5 years. About 50% survive 10 year
