I did it once, but I was 19 and had nothing else to do.

One way ticket to KC had no job, no car and no place to live. I spent the next several months telling myself that tomorrow I'm gonna pack up and go back home, but I didn't. Worst time of my life, but I wouldn't have changed it for the world.

I would love to do it again, but I'm not gonna leave my husband(I kinda like him).

Same for me, I just up and dissapeared, was sick of my life and where I was so I just didnt show up, didnt tell anyone where I was going or doing or anything like that (it was a real dick move on my part). Anyway i wound up living in a 2 bedroom apartment in manhattan for 6 months that only had inflatable furniture with some girl I met and 4 of her friends. Real bad move on my part, put me in some real bad situations, but I learned and did so much in that 6 months that I wouldnt trade it for anything.

You should have stayed in Flint and finished your schooling.

Get your school finished with a real degree then apply for a government job.

Probably a dilemma many struggle with. I know I do. I plan on getting back to school, but currently well, I am very skilled and competent but feel like I've done nothing with my life or failed at making myself a success. I am currently reinventing myself and frustrated as hell with it. Life's path isnt always the one we want to choose, but as adults we usually gotta man up and do what needs to be done.

I couldnt however just up and leave, the very thought makes me cringe. I like stability and order, and knowing what I might expect most of the time.

I second the "get divorced" before you leave.
