Default Some pictures from Alaska

Haven't been on in forever but I wanted to finally share some photos of the journey thus far.

The Fun Thus Far

Still without a cell phone, TV, regular internet, a car, a bike, or big city interaction but having a hell of a good time.

We are about to head to the airport and pick another friend who is flying up from Atlanta for a 50 mile 6-7 day hike we have planned in Denali National Park. Should be interesting, we have to cross one huge river, several creeks and if we successfully make it to the 6,500 peak of McGonagall Pass we get to look down on a glacier and be within 10 miles of Mt McKinley.

Yes, you probably would. In the summer, anyway.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I spent 3 weeks in AK in '97, but didn't hike nearly as much as you guys did.

Thanks guys. The internet situation isn't that bad and if anything it helps to keep me from being a hermit inside of my place. I am looking forward to the next place because I would like to get back in regular touch with the world as I knew it a couple months ago.

Once you arrive here, you quickly figure out why everyone stays!

Just finished a 5 day back country hike in Denali National Park and I will post pictures when I have time to get them up. Gotta go to work first. Grrr.

yeah... well... stay for one winter then you'll know why everyone leaves!

the summers are absolutly GORGEOUS... and so are the winters.. but come March... when you want spring so start rolling in... you have 2-2.5 more months of it. it gets old... REALLY quick... especially when you have a motorcycle up there
