Need a new job
Ok fellas.
Got laid off from my job a couple days ago. My position was a "luxury" not a "necessity" to the company apparently, and they needed to cut costs. Anyway, now I'm looking again. I'm trying to figure out if I should hang with the automotive industry, since it's what I know and have been in, or go new. I'd absolutely love to start my own sportbike accessory/tuning/sales shop, but I have not the knowledge nor the finances to do so. also not sure Fargo is the place to do it (lots of posers) I also have the opportunity to apply for a couple full time guard positions. Not a gaurntee to get in, but it's a chance. So, what to do. Stay with the autos Be all I can be with the Guard Or try something random and new. |

Poser type bikers are the biggest buyers of custom parts that they'll never use to their fullest. GO FOR IT.

Contact Cycle Gear and see if they will franchise a store for you. I've toyed around with the idea of doing that here.

Full time in the Guard is only good if you're looking for a nice long vacation in the sand.

and the one i'm looking for mostly is already scheduled to go to Kosovo with my current unit, so no changes there. Yes and no. Biggest prob would be trying to sell the house that I've owned for less than a year and not take a loss on it in a down(ish) market. That and the gf... both of us would have to have a good up on a job before moving. |

I think this is something I need to do some thinking and plannin on while I have a job and decent income to get some $$ saved up, not while I'm sitting at home on the couch like a bum. |

Yea , I see your point with moving.
As far as the Guard goes.... The Air Force has been good to me, nice house, new cars, bikes, vacations and I am not buried in debt like alot of people.... I think you should at least give it full time some consideration...talk bout it with your woman...good luck.. |

Either way, it's really up to him. I will support any idea that happens. I am a little leary about the guard then once marriage and kids happen..... But I knew about the military when I first started dating him, but I fully support it. |
