I bought a heat gun and it melted
I bought metal cutting wheel, and they exploded
I bought a screw driver and IT stripped
I bought a C clamp and it bent
I bought a trailer and the wheel bearings were shot
I bought a drill press that couldnt press
The replacement drill press motor burnt out
The replacement to the replacement had the chuck fall out during every use

I bought a 50 year old drill press and bench grinder, neither has let me down

99% of my tools are better quality tools, craftsman, snapon, dewalt etc. Those dont let me down. Although I have learned to stay away from ryobi.

I've had the same experience. Most of it seems ok on motorcycle or light torque stuff. But, now that I'm doing more stuff with cars I'll only buy the good stuff...

I only buy HF stuff that I wont use all the time. That being said my $10 heat gun has been used a shit ton and it's still great.

I use the $10 heat gun all the time. The C clamps do suck with high torque.

HF is the equivalent to our "Princess Auto". One time use tools.

Spend 9 bucks on an 1 3/4" socket and toss it out. Or spend $100 for a quality piece and use it once...

I guess I've just gotten lucky...

My heat gun, drill press, screwdrivers, c-clamps, etc have never failed me... I did get a set of t-handle allens that stripped when I tried to get mid evil on a frozen bolt and a miter saw that wasn't so keen on a few dozen back to back to back cuts through 1/2" aluminum, but I was definitely doing it wrong.
