Default Sylvania SilverStar

Well I can't get a HID bulb and ballast in the small sporty headlamp but it desperately needed a change.

SilverStar on the left, stock H4 on the right

The SilverStar installed

It's also much better on the road. Not bad for $20 I guess.

I have Silverstarts in the CBR and TLR. I've had the same bulbs in the TL since probably 05, and the CBR I've gone through maybe 2 bulbs in 5 years.

Much better than yellow stockers.

I've had good luck with mine. Other people say they are using a set a year or so. Even put them on my Silverado, and went through one set in the 6 years I've owned the truck (46,000 miles).

I'd like to put HID's in, but just don't really trust myself to go splicing in the the electrical side of it. I don't mind messing with mechanics, just not fond of electric.

There isn't any splicing on the new HID setups from DDM. Plug n play. HONEST. As long as you don't want to wire in delays and shit like I did.

I used a Silverstar on my VTX. HUGE difference from the stock bulb. I'm going to put them on my FZ1 soon. I'm thinking about running higher wattage too, some of the guys on the FZ forum have been doing that with no issues so far but I'm not sure I want to try it yet.

I've used the regs and the ultras. They're nice until they burn out. I'm thinking all the vibes from being on a moto dont help things.

I love my cheapo Harborfreight bulbs. They're a tad more wattage.
