Leaving it plugged in all the time.

If running on outlet power alot, pull the battery out.

well... yeah, than can happen.

hey, you asked how to make it last longer, not to fix all your damn problems.

Try this.
Go buy a new batt. Use that when you will be on batt power alot. When you will be on outlet power alot (and good batt is charged) put in old batt. That way you have a little bit of time to save everything when the power goes out.

try adjusting your power settings... dim the screen, turn off things you don't need... ie if your not connected to the internet, turn off virus protection and your firewall, disable your wireless card and network card, ect.

the problem is probably that you have programs installed that are running in the back ground eating up your processor and your battery.

You gotta let it run down fully then charge it then unplug it and do it all over again...it will give it more life overtime...Wont happen overnight but if you leave it plugged in alll the time it kills the battery life.
