Crows are smart freakin' mofos - there was one right outside my office window a few years back that would wait until people came back from lunch (after which they'd throw their takeout into the trash bin outside the doors and, subsequently, outside my window). They'd then fly down and manage to get the lid off the trash can and eat french fries and anything else they could reach.
