Default Blackberry users?

Ok, so im getting a new cell, and I have it down to two. My provider doesnt support Iphones yet, and im not sold on touch screens, so im looking at two blackberry's. A bold and the 8830 World edition. Does the bold do enough extra to warrant the extra cost? What are the differences? This is my first smartphone, so im a little lost.

The pearl does enough things to warrant any cost. They have tons of apps. And that's the whole idea behind a smartphone. Just get a full keyboard, and make sure your mitts fit it.

I sent Corey the link. Hopefully, he'll pop in and tell you all the good stuff about the Blackberrys.

He should be a salesman for these gadgets. He sold me on it and I'm a hard sell!

The Bold is worth the extra cash over the 8830. The 8830 is pretty much a Curve without the camera. The Bold is much more than just an aesthetic upgrade to the 88xx and 83xx series. The Bold has much greater internal memory, a far better and faster processor, has 3G network capability, plus it has a camera. The media capabilities are greater, the unit is faster, and the updated OS is better.

Plus you get GPS and blackberry maps. I have run the curve for almost 2 years now, and before that I had the 1st gen pearl.

If I'm not mistaken, the 8830 has GPS as well, but the bold also has WiFi.

What if you toss in the 8900 against the Bold? My brother has a 8900 and likes it. I was hoping the 9520 would be released but it hasn't happened yet and I want/need a new phone sometime soon.

What about the Nokia E71 compared to the Bold and 8900?

I have the curve and I love it. The battery last a long time. Has all the features I need. Very affordable
