They stopped submitting statistics in November. There's definitely a lot less activity but no way visitors dropped to zero just from the exodus of all you guys.

You might be surprised. I've taken a few looks and made maybe a dozen posts there since the take-over, and it's a wasteland. Just the same 5 or 6 people (maybe as many as 12) posting over and over so from a graphical point of view, it looks remarkably like zero.

I agree. I ventured over there last week to see what was going on. I was honestly saddened to see only a few posts in GS.....it looks like a ghost town now.

Now even the bedroom forum is moving much and that's with Excessa and Zero trying to keep it alive.

Oh well....VS ruined another great forum.

Most of the CF members that posted constantly have moved to here. We kept the board alive when things got slow. Now it honestly is pretty much a wasteland.

Well it could easily be argued that we ruined it by leaving. There would even be a great deal of truth to it, but those of us who have been through a VS take-over before didn't need to wait until things started to really tank over there.

I've never truly been involved in a VS takeover. CF was the first forum I have ever registered on. But, I've noticed other boards I've surfed being part of it and didn't like them (layout, ads, etc) and I've heard tales of woe over takeovers of other boards before CF's takeover. I have yet to hear one true positive thing about VS takeovers. I'd just rather stay away from them.

You have a point, but how can we ruin it by leaving when we would have never left if VS hadn't taken over? Noone wants to stay in a shithole. And that's basically what they do to boards...turn them into shitholes.

We left before the changes really kicked in; sort of pre-emptively. Think of it like being in a car that you know is going to crash, because it's got no brakes. It slows for a corner and you jump out, but it hasn't actually crashed yet.

I thought of it as a hostile takeover of the enemy. We knew they were coming to assilimate us, so we rebelled, gathered, and moved on.

Or, better yet, it's like knowing our home was going into forclosure because we couldn't afford it anymore and left because we didn't like the conditions we'd have to abide by if we stayed.
