They Will F**king Kill Us All.
Thought I would take a chance to cruise around town with my friend before leaving for Alaska. We had a wonderful dinner and then were just going to cruise downtown and then split off. Guy in front of us stopped quickly and I stopped fast enough I felt the rear lighten up quite a bit. Check behind me and the person behind me stopped. Someone 2 cars back in a fancy little bimmer on her god damn motherfucking cell phone wasn't paying attention and caused this mess. Her airbags went off, the ranger she hit had airbags deployed, and the blazer behind me did all he could to stop and couldn't. Person in the blazer went to the hospital, and the people in ranger were banged up but given the clear to the EMS people. When I checked on the lady if she was ok, she had no idea what had happened. She was dazed and sober but she fortunately has insurance. Props to Atlanta area EMS/Fire/Police. I don't know if it was because they heard a motorcycle was involved, but they had 3 cops, 2 ambulances, 1 fire truck and a fire chief on site before I could even understand what happened. I am fine and I even managed to stay on the fucker for the ride. I don't even know how to feel right now. If the lady in the bimmer had been behind us, I wouldn't be here typing and my friend probably wouldn't either. |

Damn damn damn dude you gots lucky, real lucky.
How bad is the bike it really doesn't look too bad except for the sub frame, the pictures aren't exactly clear, but it looks like bodywork, lights amd possibly subframe damage.

Thanks everyone.
The bike seemed ok but I am really not sure. I was about 40 miles from home so i didn't want to take a chance on the highway in case the bike wasn't up to snuff. The tire had a bad gash in it, the tail piece was busted out, the bike may have been in gear when I got hit so I don't know if the tranny took a beating, but the bike was making a new noise when I was backing it up to help the guy put in on the trailer. I don't think it will be that bad but who knows. The lady in the bimmer knows people obviously since a personal non-uniform detective or so shit showed up in his Mercedes and was at his side the whole time. Obviously a family friend or something. The lady in the bimmer told me she had no idea how anything had happened. All she remembers was hearing the radio and talking to her roomate. Older lady, sort of cougerish. No matter how this turns out it will be an experience in seeing how my insurance company handles it and how it all comes out. Even if nothing comes of it, I will keep the bike. It just may not get to come to Alaska with me. |

Didn't know how it happend, well thats easy to explain.
what happened in the eyes of cougar lady: Driving along, talking on cell phone, all of a sudden crash air bag, ow. Oh NO, someone made me smoosh my pretty car! what happened in the eyes of... well, everyone else. Driving along, traffic stops somewhat suddenly. Everyone stops leaving as much room as possible cause they are paying attention to what they are doing, (ie DRIVING) then some dumb bitch in a fancy car talking on her cell phone not paying attention rear ends a small pickup. That small pickup gets shoved into a small SUV, which gets pushed into a bike. But don't worry, it wasn't her fault. |
