Garage sale BMX rebuild
Picked up an old Mongoose BMX bike at a garage sale around here for $10 to have a spare bike for me or the kids or whatever. Tore it down and cleaned and greased everything, sanded the frame and fork down and painted them the same color as a GT Interceptor I had when I was a kid. Also ordered some decals from around the same year as this bike.
Anyway, pretty fun project and super cheap. I might try to find a few more at a good price and see if I can flip 'em. ________ Nexium death Last edited by Kaneman; 05-09-2011 at 09:22 PM.. |

I found my old 79 redline bmx a few years back, it was in my parents attic. Took some time to find the correct vintage parts that matched the pictures from back in the early 80s but the parts are all over ebay and I was able to bring it up to its original sold as condition.

The seat looks high cause the frame is real short. Oh the kid is not so tall either. So dad does that seat go low enough for the little guy to ride it?

Fuck no! If you look at the seat post vs the frame, there's still a significant length of post sticking out even with it all the way in! BTW K, where do you get off wasting time on bicycles?!? Get back to work on that 50!! *crack* *crack* |
