Doves Apparently from Wedding Stranded in Queens Park

NEW YORK (AP) -- More than two dozen doves -- apparently released during a wedding -- were left clinging to life in a New York City park.

A couple discovered the albino ringneck doves in Flushing Meadow Park in Queens.

Rita McMahon of the Wild Bird Fund says such birds shouldn't be released. She says they usually haven't flown, don't know how to find food, and are vulnerable to predators.

McMahon says they can starve to death.

Volunteers rescued some of the birds. The city Animal Care and Control Center also planned to check on them.

so shit... aren't all animals vulnerable to predators? I mean... if they're not vulnerable... then the other isn't really a predator now is it?
