Default Video editing software

I need something simple. The main tool I need to is cutting sections out and connecting. Windows live movie maker would work but it doesnt allow this. You can only make a new start point or end point. This shit gets old because you have to save what is left, then open the full vid again, make another set point, save that one, then connect them and so on.

That's precisely what movie maker does. You're doing it wrong.

Guess that's what you get for upgrading. The version in XP does exactly what you're trying to do. But it doesn't edit video from my GoPro HD... trade ya.

Use "Any Video Convter" to convert it to xvid.

Here's my settings and the vids look good.

Select Customized AVI Movie (*.avi)

Vid codec: xvid
Frame size: 1080x720
Vid bitrate: 4000
Framerate: 29.97

Audio codec: mp3
Audio bitrate: 128
sample rate: 22050
Audio channel: 2 (Change this to 1 (mono) if sound isnt that important. Drops the file size even more)
