Can a heterosexual male be friends with a heterosexual female without one of them wanting to fuck the other?
They don't have to act on this "want" and this only applies to met in real life relationships, not net buddies.

I think so but it's rare, most times one of them either wants or will eventually want more. There is a guy I used to refer to as my Brother that is not related to me. He was one of my best friends for 16 years and neither of us ever felt anything more than friendship. He might as well have been my brother. And just like most family's he screwed up and we had one of those disagreements you just can't really forget and even though we are still friends we aren't as close as we used to be.

Depends on the attraction-factor for both individuals - I agree it's rare, especially for for guys unless the girl is just plain fugly. Harsh but true.
The bigger part of that question is: Does the guy consider the girl a 'friend' because he is truly a caring friend, or just 'cus he want in her hoo-hoo (and will he drop the 'friendship' if it becomes clear he aint gettin' none)? That's a very clear indicator of character (or lack thereof), IMO Quote:

I have two friends that I have been friends with since I was 13. They are my brothers as far as I'm concerned and I have never wanted to sleep with either because that's gross. They are family.
