wow came in this morning and they decided to have a cut in forces. everyone in my dept is gone except myself and one other guy.

lousy way to start the week.

yeah i am glad to still have my job as well as my new responsibilities, but it was hard to watch my friends go out.
i work in elec design, much the same as Ed

Trust me I know the feeling, I work in the Building Supply Industry we went from 300 stores to 79 over the last 2 years. Austin alone lost over 300 employees and we were still doing lay-offs as recent as Oct 31. As much as I hate to see friends lose their job I'd rather it be them than me. Call it selfish or whatever you want but I have a mortgage to pay too...
