Ok who knows about fine watches?
I have a couple of Movados but I ran into this deal and I'm seriously considering it. The price is $787 shipped! I'm vaguely familiar with Richard and Co,plus if you check out the gem list,it looks like a great buy. What do ya'll think?
http://www.bidz.com/bzJApp/ProductDi...ionId=30749161 For the record,I've already purchased this T.L. watch from these guys for $150. Along with helmets,I also collect watches.... Last edited by Amber Lamps; 11-28-2008 at 03:10 AM.. |

Removable jewel bezel? If that didn't tip you off, the quartz movement should have..........GAAAHHHBAGE!

Umm...I'm not one of those guys who ask for advice and argue but I have to ask. Both of my Movados are quartz movement and both Tag and Rolex use quartz movement. I don't understand why this automatically makes this watch garbage. In fact, all of my current watches use quartz movement... I am honestly asking a question but what other kind of movement is there?

I used to have a thing for watches. Nice citizen d it never need a battery and is water proof up to 200m as apposed to yours at only 30 tig. it looks nice but may be a hustle If your gonna spend seven hundred go to the mall/watch store and you can see the quality in person.

Casio G-Shock Solar Atomic.
Durable, never needs a battery, never needs winding, and never needs setting. $75 to replace it. That's how I like my watches. Simple, durable, and maintenance free. |

Rolex is a perpetual movement. Movado's are a battery powered quartz because they're so thin. The build quality is also way higher than the watch you pictured.
I'd just be wary of any battery powered watch with a retail price of almost eight grand knocked down to seven fifty... I have a Chase Durer chonograph that's battery powered that cost about that much, but it's a much higher quality watch. I also have a Formex Chrono that I wear every day that was about 500 that's been awesome for years. All i'm saying is that you can get a lot more for your 750... I have a Movado, 2 Seikos, a Bulova Caravelle, a Citizen and a Wittnauer Laureate. Of all of them, I like my Wittnauer the best.
