Default overtaking a throttle hero on the 750!

overtaking a throttle hero on the 750!
he passes me at 1:50, i chase him for a lap +, losing him in the straights (he has bigger engine) and gaining on em in the turns. he actually throws my line off a few times because i felt i would have run into him, you can see when i stand it up in some turns. i pass in the last few seconds.

i suggest watching it in youtube, it is big

Cool. You guys took some insanely different lines through a lot of those turns!

How much of a mind game is that concretes patches on the inside of the turns?

yea , this guy was so drastically slow in the turns, he nearly caused a 5 bike pile up earlier in the day. my guess is that he was going so slow in the turn that he no longer saw the right line. my lines are not perfect, i have a way of over-exaggerating the lines a bit, which is something i have been working on. so you are seeing two ends of the spectrum, but i believe i am closer to the right one.
the cement is more of a guide, but they can be a little slippery, you can see near the end my rear slides on it for a little bit. basically you want to be inside it in a perfect scenario, but doesnt always work out that way.

The concrete patches are as sticky as the asphalt in the dry.

I'm not sure how much of a mental game they play but I actually really like them.

They are a great tool to use for setting up, entering and apexing a turn.

More often than not, Mikey's lines were better.

Mikey's lines Turn by turn:

2 Line was off probably due to being passed
3 V. Good
4 V. Good
5 Fine
6 OK, a little early on turn-in
7 Way wide, especially on exit. Turned in too early.
8 Line was good, commit more, arc less
10 Wide too far back to see why
11 Wide
12 Wide
13 Wide

The 11-12-13 complex was too "flowy".
Especially in 12 & 13, you should SNAP the bike into those turns.

Lap 2

1 Wide
2 Not bad, wide exit was due to early entry
3 Poor, looks like he stood you up
4 Same
5 Decent
I wish I could have seen you in 6. You were way inside the "normal" line in order to make the pass but you made it work. Times like that are when you grow.

Pretty good for your first time back. If you work on your turn in points and a more committed steering input, you could shave 5-7 seconds quickly.

yea i had the least amount of time being able to learn 11-12-13.
for one reason or another when i was following casey or someone, something got f'd up there, or we were flagged. more practice with guidance is needed, but i want to see the right way. kind of like serving in VB - i can practice a million different variations but until i see the right way, feels like im just 'spinning my wheels'
