doing a trade, I want you guys' input on it
What do you guys think about this.
I'm getting rid of my 86 ZX1000's that I have, and I've been offered a 96 S10 pickup, 2.2L I4 motor and 5 spd, in good shape, just needs a motor put in it(was a V8 swap donor initially) for both of my ZX1000's. would you guys say its a fair deal? I mean I figure the truck, both 4 cyl engines included are worth about 1500-ish, which is about what my runner is worth, $2k with all the accessories I have including the parts bike and extra motor, plus exhausts. this would be an even trade title for title, and I have 3 bikes total, only really like ONE of them, and could use a truck for myself and my mom to use for our needs, so what do you guys think? I think I know what I'm going to do, I just want some extra assurance that I'm going with the right choice. |

Sounds like you are just tired of the bikes and want them gone, I get like that at times and just want stuff gone. If you can use the truck go for it.

Sounds like you're getting what you want, and getting rid of what you don't need. Problem solved. JC

I'd highly recommend selling the four's and putting in a V6. My friend had a 2000ish four cylinder and it was just slow. Even just daily driving was slow. When on the highway, he'd have to floor it just to pass someone and you really had to get on her if the wind was blowing.
I wouldnt call it an even trade. |

Major reason I'm goin with the 4 cylinder is cause I HATE the V6. had a 4.3L piece of shit in my moms old S10, and it was the reason I swear NEVER to EVER touch a Vortec V6 ever again. I fuckin hate those things.
The truck comes with 2 motors, I just have to put one in and hook it up, which is no biggie because my buddy has the place and tools to do that. I hate working on the ninja with a passion(fucking cheaply made bike) and it just keeps pissing me off. The other ninja is literally a rolling frame with a motor that goes wth it, 2 sets of bodywork, and some additional parts. overall I'm just needing a truck more than a bike I'm always fighting with. I dont have pictures of my bikes on hand, and am too lazy right now to find the truck pics. |

Make the trade. The 4 cyl. S-10's are great. Mine has 284,000 miles on it and is going strong.

I would say that is a near decent trade. You both are probably sick of what you have. So do the switch. Get the truck running, use it, sell it later if you don't want it. Once running it should be a great deal easier.
