I missed out on a chance to be on that show by a half hour... chick I used to work with was part of the production crew when he came to Columbus... I called her at 1am to meet up and she said he got wasted early and they dropped him at the hotel. She offered to call me before they woke him up just before they taped the close of the show at dawn, but fuck that shit...

One of his things was that he would always drink ANYTHING anyone would buy for him at the bar... rumor was it was part of his contract... Sometimes you can see him chasing a shot with a beer, but to avoid death, he was spitting the shot into the beer. I had a buddy who worked at the local comedy club and he partied with him a couple of times (and other cool people like Dave Chappelle)... he said the dude was a fucking animal and would drink Jager and Budweiser all night like it was nothing... His shtick about being an alcoholic was no joke.
