Help re: obscure sitcom reference.

I have a picture in my head of some red-headed sitcom character. I've tried google to no avail.

What I know:

She was a woman.
The sitcom was in the 80's or early 90's.
She had an English accent.
She had long red hair.

Can anyone help? We're going crazy over here!

I don't think it's her. Do you remember the show it was on? I want to say Cosby show but I could be way off.

There is one from the 80s I have on the tip of my tongue. I can picture her in a blue dress jacket/skirt with a red bow and big 80s hair and hear her talking, but I can't for the life of me think of the show or name of the person/character.
