Hmmm.

I could have sworn it was a failure of the criminal justice system.

I heard it on Fox.

If you are a liberal...its the fault of the crimminal justice system.

If you are a conservative...its the fault of the crimminal.

That's usually how it works.

And if you're a realist, it's because bureaucracy failed and turned a dangerous man loose on the citizenry.

How is it that I'm the one who smokes all the pot, and you're the one with the short-term memory?

It just doesn't seem fair.

The bureaucracy was not different in this case which is what I'm trying to tell you.

Huckabee reduced his sentence from 109 years to 47 years because it was excessive. Then, he was eligible for parole. 109 years for robbery and assualt IS excessive. I agree.

Then, when on parole, he commited another felony and the bail was set at 15k. The 15k was the "norm" for the crime he had commited based on past cases (as stated by an attorney who appeared on Fox). He met the bail amount and then wacked the four cops.

The system was doing what the system always does. No more or no less. You may not agree now and may think the bail was set too low, but that WAS the norm under the circumstances.
