I'll bet! I forget which direction it's going but in one direction it hooks pretty tight there at the end, it can catch you out, easily.

I am also an advocate for gear self determination.

In addition, I work diligently to convince riders that they should wear the maximum amount of protective clothing all the time.

Stunting in a closed course environment doesn't require the same degree of protective gear that a track day or spirited day ride would. Not to mention race leathers and hard armor would restrict movement.

Proper gear is a must!! I agree whole heartedly. Unfortunately part of my job is scraping up people that wreck on the Parkway. It is amazing the difference in injuries of people who wear gear vs people who don't in the same kind of crashes. Seeing some of these people really made me want to wear the right gear!

Last weekend, one of my buddies who rides an old "tuber" Buell had a really weird front brake failure coming hot into a turn. He blew the turn and smacked the mountain.

He was wearing full leathers. He suffered a broken collar bone and 8 broken ribs. No road rash.

Although it was painful, it could have been much worse. I have no doubt that the gear made all the difference.

The problem is that nearly ALL sportbikes are built with the same rider model in mind. It makes it really difficult to find a "true" sportbike that fits.
