Yep that's it. It had been so long ago I forgot the details. I wonder if the ECU wasn't accounting for the ram air at that speed/rpm/gear combination and running far too lean? A simple fix anyway.

If it's an auto inline six...I'm gonna try it in my Cherokee on the way home after work.

I was going to say... my 600 isn't happy unless it is at least at 9K.

Saw one up close at the local Triumph dealer this weekend while out riding. The pearl white is badass, but I'm not sold on the shade of blue. I think a darker blue (think mako blue) would have been a better choice...but that's just my opinion.

I agree with you, I saw one a few weeks ago at the dealer. I wasn't sold on the blue either. Looks good in pictures I think...but in person it doesn't come across.

I may swing by and check one out. A friend totalled his R6 and is shopping around for his next bike.

that is a sexy bike. Throw a bigger motor in it though, as was already said.

You guys crack me up with your bigger motor nonsense.

I've never heard anyone say that about an R6, GSXR-6, CBR-6, ZX6, etc.

IT IS A MIDDLEWEIGHT BIKE!

If you want a bigger motor, buy a different bike.

I'm not sure which part of this you aren't hearing correctly. People like the look of the bike but would like to see a bigger motor in it. Same layout and package with a different motor. What is so hard to grasp here?

Just because Buell offers you the option to go slow or slower on your XB doesn't mean most manufacturers do that.

Usually, a new motor means new frame, geometry, etc. Essentially a new bike.

Ducati is the only brand to successfully offer the same basic (sport) bike with two different powerplants.
