Is that still a price per unit or for a box of 12?

EDIT:

Packed 12 strings per case – Priced per case of 12 strings.
So for a standard multi led

$208 / 12 strings (100 led each) is $17.33 each strand

Not bad I guess

The issue is it's cheap leds and one will break and you are just as screwed as you would be if it was incans. Plus the wire/insulation and most of the material besides the light itself is the same as the incans, so it's prone to the same issues.

They will save you a ton in energy if you have a very large display like me. If it is a small static display, you won't really save a ton.
We switched to LED for our inside decorations 3 christmas ago. We leave them on most all day since its dark most of the time. We have never seen a single bulb go out. The old fat incans would go out in a year and dont store well. I forget what brand we got.

We run a Lionel train around ours. A monorail is so pimpin though....

I'll go tape the ones down the street. There is one that is really good. And then in another neighborhood there are 3 houses that are linked together. Its pretty crazy. I cant imagine the power drain when those 3 are all lit up.

It's pretty easy. Look at my threads for my christmas lights display from years past. I do lights to music, but I don't use a commercial bought setup, I built mine from scratch.

I think I remember you posting some kind of formula for time invested.

Along the lines of: Display lasting X minutes requires Y hours of programming and Z hours of building.

Is there an average that you've found?

Wife came home with this last night. The pink tree is a friend's. She has a pink issue...and a HK issue as well.
