honestly that's been one of the hardest things with recovery... 38 days home with nothing to do and I couldn't run... shit up until about the 15 day mark... I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to run again... that actually scared me. |

I slow walk on a treadmill for the fat burning...and pull a sled with weight on it for the cardiovascular endurance.
Running way fucks up hips and knees. Don't have any desire to get a hip replacement at 60 from running.

There is a correct technique to running, but getting fucked up knees and hips is more a function of age where the cartlidge gets worn out. Also, body weight has alot to do with it. At 210lbs, I'm not going to be running all that often if I can avoid it

and yes cartlidge wears out, however if you're running properly I have a hard time believing that your knees will go for that reason alone. I'm sure your weight lifting is harder on your knees and hips than running is anyways |

did a 3.5 mile run this morning 33 and a half mins... decided to try the vibrams running (been using them but only on the beach)
I normally strike heavy on my heal so I was worried I'd made the wrong choice. actually I really didn't notice a difference comfort wise as my body kinda automatically adjusted to running in these... didn't have a sore spot or blister after the 3.5 mile run... so big thumbs up! |
